Joint Consultative Meeting (JCM)

On 18 September 2019, Thailand hosted a Joint Consultative Meeting (JCM) where senior officials from 3 ASEAN pillars, namely SOM, SEOM, and SOCA, as well as the Committee of Permanent Representatives (CPR) and 3 Deputy Secretary-Generals of ASEAN gathered to discuss the preparations for the 35th ASEAN Summit and Related Meetings, to be held in October – November 2019, and address key cross-cutting issues, especially those highlighted under Thailand’s chairmanship theme “Advancing Partnership for Sustainability”, to ensure the seamless coordination of the work of all 3 pillars.
The Thai delegation consists of H.E. Mrs. Busaya Mathelin. Permanent Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Duangarthit Nidhi-u-tai, Deputy Director-General, Department of Trade Negotiations, Ministry of Commerce, Ms. Saranpat Anumatrajkij, Inspector-General, Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, and H.E. Ms. Phasporn Sangasubana, Permanent Representative of Thailand to ASEAN.
